The peaceful surroundings and beautiful view added to the charm of our stay. The staff at this hotel were absolutely wonderful. Leslie, the housekeeper, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and provided us with useful information about the island. She even treated us to homemade cakes that were absolutely delicious. I recently stayed at a hotel in the hills nearby Furnas on the south-east corner of the island and I had an absolutely delightful experience. the location of this hotel was simply stunning. Nestled in a quiet area, it offered breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and even the sea. Waking up to such a beautiful view every day was a true treat. Additionally, the hotel itself was charming and full of character. The rooms were tastefully designed, with attention to detail evident in every corner. The basic amenities provided were more than sufficient, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The warm and friendly service provided by the staff truly made me feel at home, as if I was staying with my favorite relative. They were always available to assist with any needs or queries, and their genuine hospitality was truly appreciated. Lastly, I must mention the breakfast at this hotel. It was a delightful spread of homemade and local products, including fresh fruit, breads, and even farm fresh eggs. The taste and quality of the breakfast truly reflected the use of local ingredients, and it was a great way to start the day.
Nothing to improve, everything was perfect.

Best breakfast & stunning views! We stayed for Christmas and loved the decorations that added to the cozy home atmosphere. The housekeeper was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The perfect location for exploring the natural beauty of the island, as it is close to hot springs and hiking trails. Plus, having a car park available made it easy for us to come and go as we pleased.
Worst bed. My only complaint was that the bed was too soft for my liking.

the location was perfect for exploring the eastern part of the island, near the airport and the beautiful hills of Furnas. Our room was spotless and cozy with a beautiful view of the garden. Leslie, the housekeeper, treated us like family and helped us plan our trip with a wonderful breakfast served on the terrace. We loved the big garden, dogs, cat and donkey that we could enjoy. Having access to the kitchen and library with a chair was a nice touch.
One minor issue was a too soft bed, but this is a personal preference and doesn't detract from the overall loveliness of this country house.
